We recently had the pleasure of testing out the Intex Challenger Inflatable Kayak and were pleasantly surprised by its quality and performance. This kayak is perfect for those looking to get into recreational kayaking without breaking the bank. It comes with everything you need to get started, including a skeg (to help keep your boat on course), collapsible oars, an inflatable seat, repair kit, instruction manual and carry bag - all for under $50!

The kayak itself was surprisingly sturdy considering it's an inflatable boat. The material is thick enough that we felt comfortable allowing our dogs to jump in and out of it without fear of damaging it. The included collapsible oars worked perfectly fine - better than expected given some of the reviews we had read prior to purchase. Weighing just 20 lbs., this compact kayak fits easily into a car trunk or backseat so you can take it anywhere you want!

We found pumping up and assembling the kayak incredibly easy after our first try; once we knew what we were doing, inflating both sections took less than 2 minutes each! The Boston cap made inflating even easier as air only goes in one direction when using this valve type. As far as tracking goes, this inflatable held its own against winds up to 12-15 mph with minimal resistance when going against them.

The only real con about this product was that the carrying bag wasn't great quality; however, since it still did its job adequately there really isn't any need to replace it unless desired. Additionally, some people have reported their boats leaning slightly off-center due to uneven inflation but ours stayed true despite having two different sized paddlers aboard at once.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed using this budget friendly option from Intex!
