Explorer K2 Inflatable Kayak

  • Adjustable inflatable seat with backrest
  • Cockpit designed for comfort and space
  • Maximum weight capacity of 400 pounds
  • Removable skeg for directional stability
  • Bright yellow color for visibility
  • Made for smaller bodies of water

The Explorer K2 Inflatable Kayak is a great option for those looking for an affordable and convenient way to explore the waterways. It's perfect for those who don't want to invest in a more expensive, larger kayak or worry about transporting it long distances. We recently had the opportunity to take two of these out on a float trip down one of Missouri's beautiful rivers and were very impressed with their performance.

Setup was quick and easy thanks to the included pump - we managed to have both kayaks fully inflated within 10 minutes using only two people. Not having to lug around heavy, bulky hard-shell kayaks was also incredibly convenient; they come with their own bag so you can easily transport them wherever you go!

The quality of materials used is quite impressive considering its price point; it looks like much more expensive models when set up! We found that even with two adults in each boat (measuring 5'10" and 6'2") there was still enough room between us, although I had my feet tucked into the sides of his seat which wasn't too uncomfortable.

We noticed immediately that without the included plastic skeg installed, tracking straight becomes difficult due to currents and windy conditions - however this issue is quickly resolved once reattached! Unfortunately though as some other reviewers have mentioned, paddle length could be improved as splashing water into the boat became inevitable after extended paddling sessions; but this isn't necessarily a deal breaker as they are surprisingly sturdy despite being shorter than usual.

Lastly, another minor issue we encountered during our trip were sharp seams running along either side of each boat which made it easy for fingers or hands to become sliced if not careful - something Intex engineers should definitely look at improving in future designs! Despite this small setback though overall performance was admirable given its low cost making it an incredible value buy overall - especially since our double kayaks would've otherwise rented at $50 apiece!
