The Elkton Outdoors Steelhead Inflatable Fishing Kayak is an excellent choice for those looking to explore the waterways without having to transport and store a bulky hard kayak. Weighing in at 40 lbs., it’s lightweight enough that it can be easily carried from car to lake, and its portability makes it ideal for camping trips or other outdoor excursions.

The inflatable design of this kayak is also incredibly durable, making it suitable for use in all kinds of water conditions. It features welded seams and heavy-duty PVC construction that can handle shallow water with debris as well as rough waters with ease. Despite its wobbly nature when paddling, the Steelhead is surprisingly stable - so much so that you could even stand up in the kayak if needed!

While we did find a couple downsides during our testing period, they weren’t major drawbacks. First was the length of the paddle provided; at 230cm long, we found ourselves working a bit harder than necessary to reach the water without rubbing against the sides. But purchasing a larger paddle solves this issue quickly and relatively cheaply.

The second downside was related to inflating/deflating: two pieces must be attached each time you pump air into or out of your kayak; if only one piece is removed then air will start flowing out again which can be incredibly frustrating after having just worked hard to pump it full! Additionally, our hose cracked after some time and had to be replaced - though Elkton does offer replacements should something like this happen too often.

All things considered, we highly recommend the Elkton Outdoors Steelhead Inflatable Fishing Kayak for anyone looking for an easy way to get on (and off) their favorite lakes or rivers without worrying about transporting or storing large vessels. Its durability makes it perfect for all types of waters while its lightweight design allows you take your adventures anywhere you want!
