The Elkton Outdoors Steelhead Inflatable Fishing Kayak is an excellent choice for the avid angler looking to explore the open waters. This kayak offers a durable and reliable experience, with its sturdy construction and inflatable design making it ideal for those who don’t want to deal with transporting a heavy hardshell boat. We tested this vessel out on some of Michigan’s lakes, where it proved its worth as a reliable watercraft that can handle choppy waters and shallow areas filled with debris.

The kayak itself is stable enough to allow one to stand up in it if desired; however, there is a slight waddling effect when paddling which does affect speed slightly. Despite this minor issue, we found ourselves able to cruise around the lake without any major issues or difficulties in maneuvering our way through tight spaces or against strong winds. Additionally, despite weighing 40 lbs., we were still able to easily carry the kayak from our car down to the shoreline without assistance.

Although overall pleased with our experience using this product, there are two main downsides which should be noted before purchase: firstly, the paddle provided by Elkton Outdoors was too short for comfortable use; we would recommend purchasing an additional longer paddle before taking your new kayak out onto the water. Secondly, while inflating and deflating was relatively fast thanks to their dual action pump included in their package - unfortunately ours cracked after only four uses - attaching both parts of said pump can be difficult at times as they often come apart during removal.

Overall though we highly recommend investing in this product if you’re looking for an inflatable fishing kayak that offers durability and reliability on top of convenience due its easy-to-transport design – just remember not all accessories are created equal so make sure you have everything you need before hitting the open waters!
